Start of advance ticket sales for the lit.COLOGNE gala 2015

Childhood – the Vanished Land
lit.COLOGNE gala with Iris Berben, Thomas Thieme, Joja Wendt, Kirsten Fuchs & Katty Salié
This evening we’ll raft along with Huckleberry Finn. Tonight we’ll share Little Nicholas’ amazement about Mom and Dad, do good deeds with Max and Moritz and Emil of Lönneberga, go on a treasure hunt with the Famous Five, and join Hanno Buddenbrook in putting an end to a family tradition. We’ll meet young characters from the books of Alice Munro, John Irving, Wolfgang Herrndorf, J.W. von Goethe, Stephen King and Katherine Mansfield. We’ll tremble with them when it seems the whole world – or just a tower of building blocks – is falling apart. We’ll be boundlessly furious, sad and happy. And we’ll remember what it was like when we had to reach up to open the door handle. We’ll play hide-and-seek and pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey. And we’ll laugh hysterically again at a knock-knock joke. Join us as we celebrate childhood: its anarchy, vulnerability, humor, magic and its power. Readings by Iris Berben and Thomas Thieme, with musical accompaniment by Joja Wendt. Special guest: Kirsten Fuchs. Host: Katty Salié
Tickets for the lit.COLOGNE gala will be available from November 17, 2014, at the usual advance ticket sales locations, as well as online at www.koelnticket.de and by telephone at +49 221 2801. Advance ticket prices: €16-56.
